What is

Invisalign treatment?

Invisalign treatment uses clear, removable aligners, which straighten your smile discretely. With no wires or brackets, they’re a discreet alternative to conventional fixed braces.

The aligners are made from a flexible plastic material and custom-made to fit your mouth. You’ll have a series of aligner sets that are changed every week, until you achieve your final result.

We believe in transparent pricing, so your dentist will always explain any costs in full before treatment.Payment options are available to spread the cost of treatment, speak to your local practice to learn more.*
How long does treatment take?
The length of an Invisalign treatment can vary depending on the complexity of the orthodontic issue being corrected. In general, Invisalign treatment can take anywhere from 6 months to 18 months or more. During your initial consultation with us, they will evaluate your specific dental needs and determine how long your treatment is likely to take.
Is Invisalign treatment painful?
The pain caused by Invisalign aligners is temporary, and very few people experience it. How Invisalign

works

Step 1

Your consultation: Book a consultation with a Bupa Dental Care dentist or orthodontist. They’ll examine your smile, discuss your needs and recommend brace or aligner options. They may also use an intraoral scanner, allowing you to preview the potential results.

Step 2

Making your aligners: A series of clear and removable aligners are custom-made to fit your mouth.

Step 3

Receive your aligners: Your Bupa Dental Care dentist or orthodontist will ensure your aligners are comfortable and fit well. They’ll let you know what to expect throughout treatment and can answer any questions.

Step 4

Wear your aligners: You’ll need to wear each set of aligners for 20-22 hours a day. You can remove them to eat, drink, brush and floss. Every four weeks, your dentist or orthodontist will check your treatment is progressing as planned.

Step 2

Finish your treatment: Your treatment ends when you’ve worn each set of aligners. To maintain your straighter smile, you’ll need to wear a retainer every night for a year, then usually a few nights a week, as instructed by your dentist or orthodontist.

How long does

treatment take?

The average Invisalign treatment takes 12-18 months, but this varies depending on your individual needs. Treatment can take as little as six months in some cases.
